Indianapolis native son Joon Walker has arrived with his first-ever album simply titled, JOON.
Having just opened a sold out concert for the legendary r&b act The O’Jays at the Indiana Convention Center, Joon (real name James Walker, Jr.) received great response from the crowd. His live show features selections from his album including his single “Can’t Live Another Day” and a few cover favorites of his. Speaking of the album JOON, worldwide famous music critic David Nathan of London said, “The return of real soul music that warms the heart”.
Joon will be backed on his Jazz Kitchen debut by his longtime collaborator and friend Rodney Stepp (former musical director of The Spinners)and his band The Steppin’ Out Band, plus a percussionist and three background vocalists.
In addition to being a crooner in the tradition of Sam Cooke, Bobby Womack and Luther Vandross, Joon also plays guitar, bass and is a songwriter.
